Taquerias located in Los Angeles, California made the prestigious list and the food doesn't cost a fortune.

Los Angeles' hidden gems made the prestigious Michelin list and the food doesn't cost a fortune. These are the Mexican restaurants Carnes Asadas Pancho López in Lincoln Heights, Eat Joy Food in Rowland Heights, Villa’s Tacos in Highland Park and Cobi in Santa Monica.

Michelin has named four new Bib Gourmands, a distinction that is “not a star, but definitely not a consolation prize.” The four restaurants made it onto this list because of the good service they offer, how little they spend, and because the food has a gourmet touch.

Reaction of one of the owners

“The magic of our food is that we make sure everything is fresh,” Jessica García, co-owner of Carnes Asadas Pancho López, told Telemundo 52. “The fresh ingredients, the best ingredients, the quality of the meat, the quality My father and I select the vegetables daily or weekly.”

“I think that's also one of the successes that we have, that we try to make sure that our staff is like family and we treat them like family when they come to eat with us,” Garcia said. Now the goal of the co-owner of Carnes Asadas Pacho López is that with this recognition they will move to a larger place. García's idea is to have live mariachi music while customers enjoy the food they offer and they have only been open for four years.
